Additionally, for these segments of the organized electricity market, it performs clearing and financial settlement as a central counterparty. MEMO is obliged to manage the organized electricity market in all segments in a manner that does not create obstacles for future market coupling with neighbouring bidding zones, in accordance with the rules and methodologies of SDAC (Single Day-Ahead Coupling) and SIDC (Single Intraday Coupling). The first day-ahead market auction was held on May 10, 2023, and since then, trading on the day-ahead market has been carried out daily, providing a relevant reference price for each hour of the day.
