Il a pour objectif principal de dédoubler la jonction actuelle afin de fluidifier le trafic et ainsi améliorer la sécurité des usagers. Le projet prévoit des mesures anticipées (restant à confirmer) et doit tenir compte de plusieurs projets voisins, connexes et parallèles. Suite à l’établissement du projet définitif AP et afin de continuer la planification de ce projet, le mandat actuel doit être partiellement remis en appel d’offres.
