Im Gebäude "Zentrale Meßwarte" soll ein neues Besucher-Informationszentrum entstehen. Das Projekt wird durch das Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Industrie, Klimaschutz und Energie des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen gefördert. Das betreffende Förderprogramm EFRE/JTF "Erlebnis.NRW" ist mit Mitteln der Europäischen Union des Europäischen Fonds für regionale Entwicklung (EFRE) kofinanziert. Die Vorgaben des Förderbescheides sind zu berücksichtigen. Danach muss das Vorhaben bis Oktober 2028 vollständig abgeschlossen sein.
