Diese umfasst die Instandsetzung von Dachkonstruktion, Sandsteinbalustraden und -hauptgesims, Skulpturen und Erneuerung der Dachabdichtung und Kupferdeckung. Im Vorfeld der Arbeiten erfolgt eine Beräumung und Dekontamination der Dachgeschosse. Die Instandsetzung sämtlicher Dachgeschosse ist in 6 Bauabschnitte gegliedert. Der aktuelle Bauabschnitt bezieht sich auf die Arbeiten am Nördlichen Corps de Logis (BA 4). Der Dachraum ist aufgrund verschiedener und hochgiftiger Holzschutzmittel (PCP, DDT, Lindan) hoch bis sehr hoch belastet. Ziel der Beräumungsarbeiten ist die Schaffung von Baufreiheit für die folgenden Gewerke. Ziel der Dekontaminationsarbeiten ist die Reduzierung der Schadstoffbelastung durch Holzschutzmittel.
