Die Aufbereitung besteht u.a. aus 12 Stück offenen Betonfilterbecken. In das Bauwerk wird im Kellerbereich ein neuer Trinkwasserbehälter zur Vergrößerung des Speichervolumens (rd. 2.200 m³) integriert. Für den Reinwasserbehälter und die Filterbecken sind aufgrund der Nutzung für die Trinkwasseraufbereitung erhöhte Anforderungen an die Hygiene und Materialbeschaffenheiten zu berücksichtigen. Im Kellerbereich wird zudem eine neue Pumpenanlage für die Netzversorgung aufgestellt. Des Weiteren sind einige Betriebsräume u.a.
