Au centre de ce projet se trouve la rénovation énergétique de l’ancien Grand Bazar situé rue Crapaurue et sa transformation en Cité administrative. L’installation d’un système géothermique ouvert en hyper centre (densité des impétrants importante) afin d’alimenter en énergie le bâtiment rénové constitue un exemple d’innovation et d’adaptation de la Ville de Verviers. Un premier marché d’étude exploratoire, mettant en œuvre un forage en 6" jusqu’à 177m, a débouché sur l’installation d’un piézomètre (Pz1) et a permis d’identifier un potentiel suffisant atteignant un minimum de 18 m³/h (limite de l’ouvrage) et estimé entre 30-40m³/h. Le rapport et tous les résultats de cette étude préalable sont annexés au présent cahier des charges.
