Der Lippeverband beabsichtigt auf der Kläranlage Bad Sassendorf umfassende Reinvestitionsmaßnahmen durchzuführen. Sowohl die bauliche Substanz als auch die maschinentechnische, verfahrenstechnische und elektrotechnische Ausrüstung weisen teils erhebliche Alterserscheinungen auf, haben das Ende der Nutzungsdauer erreicht oder dieses bereits überschritten.
