Locatie: E40 (wegnummer A10) van kmpunt 49,6 tot kmpunt 50,2. De vervanging van de brug is noodzakelijk uit veiligheidsoverwegingen: de brug nadert zijn einde levensduur en de doorbuigingen van het brugdek, meerbepaald de uitkragingen voor de snelle rijstrook, staat onder verscherpt toezicht door middel van een halfjaarlijkse waterpassing. De brug staat op de lijst prioritaire kunstwerken en dient prioritair vervangen te worden. Voorts beschikt de huidige brug niet over een pechstrook en/of conforme geleideconstructie. Zowel een pechstrook als geleideconstructie dienen in de toekomst de veiligheid van de weggebruiker op de brug te verbeteren. De Goedingebrug, pijlers en landhoofden, moeten omwille van de staat waarin deze verkeren, volledig vervangen worden.
