Ce contournement prend la forme d’un tunnel (Twanntunnel) qui se connecte au et prolonge le Ligerztunnel (tunnel de Gléresse) existant. Le projet consiste principalement en un nouveau tunnel souterrain de 1’925 m qui se raccorde au portail Est sur la N05 existante entre Twann et Wingreis, où une nouvelle demi-jonction est prévue. L’ouvrage complet est construit sous trafic avec un phasage de réalisation complexe à ses 2 extrémités. Le mandat couvre les prestations RIE pour la phase SIA 33 et les prestations SER pour les phases SIA 41, 51, 52 et 53.
