The main aim is to increase security and ease of navigation in a complex and weather prone fairway. The measure comprises a total of 3 deepening areas Skinnbrokleia, Kyrkjefluda and Svædet. It is planned to dredge all areas to a depth of -11.3 metres (nautical chart wool). The total planned deepening area is approx. 86,000 m² and the calculated deepening volume is approx. 175,000 cubic metres of engineered solid matter (pfm³). The project has two regulated and approved seabed deposits, one in direct connection to the deepening area at Skinnbrokleia and one at Kyrkjefluda.
