Formålet med nærværende udbud er at sikre patienter en kort ventetid til plastikkirurgisk udredning og behandling/operation og sikre overholdelse af behandlings- og udredningsfristen. Ordregiver ønsker derfor at indgå samarbejdsaftale med et privathospital, en klinik eller speciallæger, der kan udføre undersøgelse og behandling/operation inden for de gældende frister fra henvisningstidspunktet. Den udbudte kontrakt skal supplere allerede eksisterende udbudsaftaler på området. Udbuddet har desuden til formål at understøtte Ordregivers overordnede målsætning om at kunne levere behandling på et højt niveau. Dette skal ske ud fra hensynet til den rette kvalitet, det rette serviceniveau, og den mest fordelagtige pris.
