Der zwei geschossige Neubau wird in Holzbauweise errichtet. Die Konstruktion besteht aus Holzständerwänden und Brettsperrholzdecken. Die innere Tragstruktur ist als Skelettbau mit wenigen Stahlstützen und darüberliegenden Holzträgern geplant. Die Außenverkleidung ist mit einer vorgehängten grau lasierten Holzverkleidung vorgesehen. Außerdem soll durch Umstrukturierungen im Bestand ein adäquater Küchen- und Mensabereich geschaffen werden (2.BA).
