The value of the loan from EIB is 50 MEUR. The project for the improvement of municipal water infrastructure in NMK is ongoing, and implemented by the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning (MoEPP), with all 80 municipalities in NMK serving as the final beneficiaries. MoEPP has established a Project Management Unit (PMU) consisting of staff employed by the Ministry. The PMU has a role of managing the performance of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU), which has been established to carry out the preparation and implementation of projects. Preparation and implementation of sub-projects has been ongoing since 2023.
