Das Becken erhält eine technische Belüftung, für die u.a. ein 30 m hoher Abluftschornstein (über der Beckenmitte) errichtet wird. Die Leistungen des VP05 beinhalten größtenteils die notwendigen Lüftungsanlagen (Druckschleusen, Treppenhausbelüftung, Stauraumbelüftung, Pumpenraumbelüftung, Lüfterraumbelüftung sowie die Kühlung eines kleinen EMSR-Raums). Hierbei ist die Stauraumbelüftung besonders hervorzuheben, da diese umlaufend an der Decke des Rundbeckens installiert werden muss.
