In the event of contamination detected, the gamma spectrometry method is used for precise identification of gamma emitting radionuclide(s) responsible for the radioactive contamination, allowing the dosimetry service accurately to evaluate the potential exposure risks to the nuclear safeguards inspectors and ensure compliance with the basic safety standards. This procurement is intended to replace the existing measurement equipment: a gamma spectrometry measurement system.
