Die geplante Neubaumaßnahme wird Büroarbeitsplätze für insgesamt 94 Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter zur Verfügung stellen. Hierfür werden ca. 2.690 m² Nutzfläche, bestehend aus Büroräumen, Seminarraum und Laborräume mit entsprechender Infrastruktur. Zur Umsetzung des Neubaus steht ein Grundstück mit ca. 5.150,00 m² zwischen dem Nordring und der BTU (Brandenburgische Technische Universität) in Cottbus zur Verfügung. Das Grundstück ist Teil eines Areals, das vom Land Brandenburg einem außeruniversitärem Campus gewidmet wird. Eine Zertifizierung nach BNB wird nicht gefordert.
