GIS is widely used across the Department to support business units in evidence-based decision-making, project delivery, data management, and communication through analytical and visualisation tools. Given the scale, complexity, and volume of projects undertaken by the Contracting Authority, it is not feasible to meet all GIS resource requirements internally. As a result, the GIS team must adopt a proactive operational approach, including the use of external frameworks to secure additional GIS support.
