Afin de se conformer à la législation, l'OFROU doit instaurer l'obligation de vignette sur les tronçons classés comme routes nationales de deuxième classe. À cette fin, la signalisation doit être adaptée sur les tronçons concernés (panneaux, socles, etc.). En outre, diverses mesures d'optimisation visant à renforcer la sécurité routière doivent également être mises en œuvre.
