Zie hoofdstuk 2 van het beschrijvend document. De Hogeschool Rotterdam heeft de omvang van de Raamovereenkomst geraamd op € 95.000,00 per jaar (exclusief BTW). In deze raming is rekening gehouden met een extra marge om eventuele aanvullende vraag op te vangen, bijvoorbeeld vanuit onderzoekscentra die laboratoriumonderzoek uitvoeren. De onderzoeksactiviteiten van deze centra zijn echter afhankelijk van overheidssubsidies, waardoor de jaarlijkse afname niet structureel of voorspelbaar is. Om die reden is een aanvullende marge opgenomen in de totale geraamde waarde van de Raamovereenkomst.
