Εξαιτίας της εξέλιξης του Ελληνικού Αντισεισμικού Κανονισμού και ως εκ τούτου της αύξησης της σεισμικής επικινδυνότητας της πόλεως, κρίνεται σκόπιμο να διερευνηθεί η στατική επάρκεια των κτιρίων του κεντρικού συγκροτήματος, ώστε να αποκατασταθεί τυχόν έλλειμμα σε σχέση με τις σύγχρονες απαιτήσεις.
