Das ZET soll künftig im Forschungszentrum Lobeda (FZL) im Gebäude F4 (Bauteil 6430 Ebene 20) zusammengeführt werden. Zudem beinhaltet das Standortkonzept die Idee einer Fusionierung der Nager-Tierhaltungen zweier Institutionen (UKJ und FSU) zu einer gemeinsamen Versuchstierhaltung am Standort FZL / F4. Damit sollen die aktuellen tierschutzrechtlichen Anforderungen effizient und nachhaltig ver-folgt und Nutzeranforderungen, soweit wie möglich umgesetzt werden. Voraussetzung für die Neustrukturierung des Zentrums Experimentelle Tierhaltung (ZET) am Standort in Jena-Lobeda ist eine entsprechende planerische Vorbereitung und bauliche Um-setzung der Sanierung der Ebene 20 im Gebäude F4.
