Im Rahmen der Baumaßnahme soll der Umbau der unter Denkmalschutz stehenden Deichtorhalle Süd sowie des angrenzenden ehemaligen Marktkellers, durchgeführt werden. Das Gebäude erstreckt sich über 2 Geschosse (EG und 1.OG) zuzüglich des Kellergeschosses, welches an der Westseite durch Teile des alten Markkellers (letzte Teilnutzung Tiefgarage) erweitert werden soll. Die Kälteanlagen werden in den Keller der Deichtorhallen installiert. Für den Rückkühler ist eine Position im Außenbereich vorgesehen. Diese ist unterhalb des Erdreiches und mittels eines Gitters geschützt. Die Kälteverteilung bezieht sich hierbei nur auf die Ausstellung und Lagerräume.
