The overall programme objective is to replace an estimated 13,000 devices over the 5 year timeframe, 10,500 devices in schools as well as 2,500 devices in corporate functions including libriaries and One Stop Shops, Leisure Centres. Windows PC & Laptop devices are required to be replaced as they reach end of life and their Microsoft operating system becomes unsupported resulting in a security risk to the Council network.
