The proposed contract is a renewal of previous procurement arrangements. The call-off contract is under the Scotland Excel Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Treatment and Disposal of Recyclable and Residual Waste (no. 27/17). The Call Off Contract under the DPS is awarded via Mini-Competition: - Lot 11 Receipt, Treatment and Processing of Bulky Waste The Mini Competition contained four geographical sub-lots as detailed below to ensure that the travelling distances and times to/from the reprocessors’ facilities are maintained to a minimum. - Lot 11 Receipt, Treatment and Processing of Bulky Waste 11.1 - Receipt, Treatment and Disposal of Bulky Waste (North Area) 11.2 - Receipt, Treatment and Disposal of Bulky Waste (South Area) 11.3 - Receipt, Treatment and Disposal of Bulky Waste WUDS (North Area) 11.4 - Receipt, Treatment and Disposal of Bulky Waste WUDS (South Area) The Council reserved the right to appoint one or more contractors under each Mini Competition based on each geographical sub-lot.
