It aims to improve support for children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs through earlier identification, a neuro affirming strengths based approach, and joined up working across health, education, early years and the third sector. Support will be based on need, without waiting for diagnosis, while reducing pressure on specialist services for diagnosis. The pathway will focus on pre-school to Primary 1 learners, with support based on need rather than diagnosis and delivered through a neuro-affirming, strengths-based approach.
