The project aims to restore affected shoreline and seabed areas to their natural condition while protecting the Lough's internationally important habitats and wildlife. Contractors must demonstrate their ability to deliver the works in accordance with all statutory consents, minimise disturbance to sensitive foreshore and marine environments, and avoid adverse impacts on designated conservation areas, breeding bird populations and seals.
