Without this support, there is a risk that essential infrastructure upgrades (such as junction improvements or new links) are not properly planned or delivered in time, which could lead to increased traffic pressures, safety concerns, and continued delays to much needed homes and jobs. The work involves assessing and prioritising schemes, building strong business cases, managing risks, and overseeing delivery to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget through to 2031.
