To ensure continuity of the waste and cleansing services, the Council are bringing the operational services in-house and were required to replace half of its fleet. To ensure the Council is able to deliver its statuary service a short term contract is required to Maintain service continuity for residents in the provision of a statutory function and fulfil the Council's decision to have a consolidate waste operations to a single in-house operating model. This contract is for the hire/lease of 17 standard and specialist vehicles up to 44t.
