This contract overs five main areas: - Hosting, supporting and managing the NMS, including data and software licensing, cloud services, backups, security patching, etc. - Handover provision, to ensure a seamless continuous provision of service with a new provider. - Pilot - the NMS is to be piloted with a number of users before the full launch that has been agreed by Ministers - Provision of datasets (accompanied by appropriate documentation and coding) to allow Defra to carry out R&D activities - Preparation for Round 5 mapping - Defra has a legal requirement to deliver noise maps across the country in 5 yearly intervals, known as rounds.
