It will include the production of individual dossiers on the toxicology of specific chemicals from the open and grey scientific literature (the dossiers for selenium and piperazine are provided as examples in Appendix D), which will be the basis for establishing updated EALs, short term and/or long-term depending on the data, for each compound. The proposed EALs will be submitted for agreement by the EA and UKHSA. In addition, the contractors may be required to provide expert advice on request, in the form of a briefing note, for selected toxicological issues such as a synthesis of in vitro and in vivo evidence on genotoxicity and mutagenicity.
