The programme represented a £80.8M investment by the UK Government to tackle key barriers to adoption of open mobile networks. A large proportion of this investment was made up of Government Grants for innovation, with partners claiming at appropriate intensities based on grants for experimental development. The purpose of this contract is for DSIT to undertake checks on a sample of in-life and closing projects to assure the Department that grant monies was used appropriately and that all records/claims were accurate. Of the 20 Open Network Ecosystem awards, a number will be extended past March 2025.
