This three-span structure is comprised of side cantilever spans formed from voided reinforced concrete slabs with a reinforced concrete suspended span acting compositely with 10 longitudinal steel box girders. It has been found that cracking is propagating at many stiffener and bracing locations within several box girders. There have been two holding repair interventions over the last 10 years, and it has been noted that the distribution and number of observed cracks has increased significantly over the intervening period. It is anticipated that if left unattended some of the cracks will propagate into the box girder webs.
