Works are to include vegetation clearance and scaling of existing slopes and rock faces, assisting with Geotechnical Inspection and then to undertake any subsequent remedial works required. This work is part of a wider programme and the Contractor will need to start within 2 weeks of the contract start date. Other slope stabilisation works are planned on this section of the highway, which this forms part of the whole project. This has been planned to complete as much work as possible under one lot of traffic management to reduce the disruption to the travelling public and cost savings to DCC.
