In support of the Mission the Council is investigating options for establishing an in-house school meals service in the future. Under the current arrangements made by the Council a school meals service is delivered under a contract to over 40 schools (predominantly primary), serving approximately 8,000 meals per day. For primary-aged pupils all meals are free.
