The previous research did not provide strong recommendations for junction treatments that would reduce KSIs at these locations. Not having strong recommendations for junction treatments limits our ability to have a strong impact on National Highways Key Performance Indicator 1 (KPI1), Safety. This research seeks, the effectiveness of interventions for KSIs at junctions (including innovative junction design), feasibility issues, and how recommended interventions should be used to have the greatest impact on KPI1.
