Every five years, the annual appraisals carried out are used for the purpose of revalidation of the Medical Practitioner and recommendations are made to the GMC on whether to allow the medical practitioner to continue practising. The Services are to be performed virtually using MS Teams or another appropriate secure video conferencing tool. In certain circumstances, if requested by DWP and by prior agreement, appraisal discussions may take place in-person.
