It operates as a standalone business, taking on full responsibility for the network under the name of West Midlands Metro. MML took over running the Metro in June 2018. Midland Metro Limited currently operates a number of life-expired CCTV cameras throughout the original Line 1 system, with the development of technology and systems, MML are currently looking to upgrade the current CCTV system to create a robust and resilient security system.
