A new joint Greater Cambridge Local Plan (GCLP), which will cover the combined geographic area of the two local authorities, and a joint Area Action Plan for the strategic development area of North East Cambridge (NEC) that straddles the administrative boundaries of both authorities. The Councils are seeking suitably qualified consultants to: prepare a strategic Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP) for the Greater Cambridge combined area and to review and update the existing 2021 IDP prepared in support of the Draft Area Action Plan for NEC. To support the councils during the plan making process on any issues related to infrastructure delivery matters, including at examination. Given the uncertainties relating to timing and nature of work, it is proposed to deal with this using day rates established though this commission.
