Our vision is to be a world-leading, inspirational museum about the potential of science and industry to change our lives. It's a story that we're uniquely placed to tell - on the site of the oldest surviving passenger railway station, in the heart of the world's first industrial city, today alive with innovative discoveries in science and technology. In our new Special Exhibitions Gallery, we schedule major temporary exhibitions and Operation Ouch! Senses will form part of this programme. The purpose of this tendering exercise is to appoint a Designer at minimum, while opening the tender opportunity to Design and Build companies should they wish to submit. As mentioned in the introduction, the Build portion of the tender is not scored, showing that Design and Build companies will not gain preferential treatment over Design only tenderers. The estimate value of Design is £50,000 - £60,000 and the estimate value of Build is £350,000.
