It will encourage Risk Management Authorities to adopt a range of flood and coastal resilience actions that work together to have a greater combined impact, and tackle the challenges faced in individual places. The strategy incorporates the interventions identified in the surface water action plan. Three actions from the strategy directly relate to asset record keeping, inspection and management, standards best practice, and data sharing. These Actions are on the page 24 of Environment Agency FCERM Action Plan. The aim of the commission is to support the Environment Agency to determine, agree and publish standards for flood risk (fluvial, coastal and surface water) and coastal erosion for asset data standards relevant to understanding the flood and erosion resilience in England.
