The Berkshire and Surrey Pathology Services Network (POCT) glucose and ketone service is currently standardised across ASPH, FH, RBH and RSFT with a single device platform for glucose and ketone testing (although not all are enabled for ketone testing). A total of 110 of these are connected via a data manager with the remaining 10 used as standalone devices. BSPS is appointing a managed service provider to supply and install a Wi-Fi-connected POCT solution for both blood glucose and ketones. The solution will cover all Trusts served by the network for existing and new areas that require this service including the POCT team. The solution must include all devices and Wi-Fi connections and the capability to hard wire connections to the current IT Data System.
