Over the next 10 years the National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) are leading on the conservation of HMS Victory to ensure the long-term preservation of a world-class historic vessel and an exemplar of a Royal Navy capital warship from the Age of Sail. The aim of the HMS Victory Conservation Project is to deliver a fully-conserved ship, able to survive in an open environment, and in a condition to survive for the next 50 years without major work beyond a programme of planned maintenance. The conservation work includes the replacement of all external and some internal planking and the reinstatement of the ships masts and rigging. The works will see a significant increase in the requirements for storage and the National Museum is redeveloping its Historic Ships Workshop facility in order to better handle timber and store materials including large dimension artefacts of significant historical value. As part of the redevelopment requires new racking to increase capacity. The full specification for this tender can be found in Annex A of the ITT Documentation Annex A-B-C. ### Site Visits- The NMRN will require Tenderer's to visit the site of work during the tender process in order to further understand the requirements of the NMRN Tender. Site Visits may be booked via and should give at least two working days to make arrangements due to the location of installations in a secure area it will require escorting arrangements.
