It is the platform that enables access to a growing selection of material drawn from LSE Library holdings, whilst storing its digital assets in a digital preservation environment that ensures file integrity and security. Digital assets and their metadata are uploaded to the system and managed by Digital Library Team and Archives & Special Collections Team staff. The current Digital Library System solution contains c.36,000 digital objects, approximately 12TB in preservation storage, and 1.5TB of access copy storage, compiled over the last 7-8 years, primarily from digitisation of LSE Library holdings.
