For consistency, baseline sites from previous FOW CoE projects will be used where possible. Gaps in knowledge and technology will be identified to define a roadmap towards commercial readiness by 2025 to 2030. Experience from previous/ongoing projects will play a key role in this task e.g. previous OREC projects on inter-array cable topology (DC06) and mooring and cable installation (DC07). Key uncertainties in this roadmap should also be defined. A cost comparison should be performed to set out which option would be preferable for a range of potential UK project configurations, subject to a range of assumptions and sensitivities.
