Where defective waterproofing is found this should be cut back to sound material. Best endeavours shall be to remove defective waterproofing, assumed as all exposed waterproofing. The method for removal shall be via scraping the deck, not by fine milling. Any remaining waterproofing shall have a clean edge, achieved through the use of appropriate hand held tools. The extent of any waterproofing to remain, to be agreed with the National Highways on site supervisor.
