The North East and North Cumbria Local Maternity and Neonatal System team would like to commission gender inclusion in maternity and neonatal training on behalf of the provider trusts within our geographical area. The training should include: • The evidence-base that highlights Inequalities experienced by trans and non-binary people in relation to perinatal care. • Key terminology, additive gender inclusive language and use of pronouns. • A focus on antenatal, perinatal and postnatal care. • Statutory, legal, and professional responsibilities. • Tips on creating an inclusive environment and culture. • Inclusive gender and trans status data collection and monitoring. • Examples of best practice.
