Cefas require the Supplier to deliver a survey to gather data on the estimates of catches and expenditure by recreational sea fishers across England and Wales in 2025 and 2026. The two surveys should build on the previous surveys already completed to ensure continuity - reports from this previous work can be viewed here on gov.uk. The following survey elements are needed: 1.1. Identification of a representative sample of people who fish for recreation in the sea and who are willing to keep catch diaries throughout 2025 and 2026, using an appropriate, cost-effective method. 1.2.
