Hertfordshire Coroner Service is required to provide investigative and administrative service to HM Coroners for the coronial area of Hertfordshire, in accordance with the Coroners & Justice Act 2009. The Coroner Service has a requirement for the provision of Body Removal Services and is seeking suitably qualified contractors to deliver this service. Contractors are required to remove the deceased from the place of death and other locations where the death may be referred to a Coroner and take them directly to a hospital mortuary or their premises unless otherwise directed by the police. Contractors may also be required to conduct the transfer of the deceased between hospitals. This Contract will be split into the following Lots: - Lot 1 Baldock, Hitchin, Letchworth - Lot 2 Royston - Lot 3 Stevenage, Codicote, Knebworth - Lot 4 Dacorum - Lot 5 St Albans, Harpenden - Lot 6 Welwyn, Hatfield, Potters Bar - Lot 7 Broxbourne, Cheshunt - Lot 8 Three Rivers - Lot 9 Watford - Lot 10 Bushey, Borehamwood, Radlett - Lot 11 Hoddesdon - Lot 12 East Herts - Bishops Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Buntingford - Lot 13 East Herts - Hertford, Ware Organisations wishing to take part in this project are invited to 'express an interest' and also 'opt in' which will give access to the full procurement documents in the e-tendering system.
