Work will consist of the selective planned upgrading of garage units of varying sizes. The properties are selected based on their current condition and urgency and are distributed randomly geographically throughout Colchester Borough. The works consist of the following: • The replacement of roof coverings and all underlays including structural member replacements if necessary. • Replacement of doors with new up-and-over garage doors. • Replacement of rainwater goods with new aluminium. • Undertaking any masonry repairs and/or concrete repairs depending on the garage construction. • Application of slurry damp proofing to the existing garage floors. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement. The contract is initially for 1 year (as per the contract value shown) with the option to extend for 2 x 1 years, subject to satisfactory performance and annual uplifts in accordance with the terms of this contract.
