The rehabilitation flats need to be a domestic environment where patients can live independently prior to discharge but they also provide an opportunity to showcase and trial equipment patients may be able to access in the community. These flats will provide patients and their families an opportunity to live in a domestic setting whilst in the safety net of the centre, aiding confidence and the transition between the NRC and discharge home.
